Introducing New Lampwork European Charm Bracelet Bead Designs

I have been obsessed with making encased murrini beads, (and pretty much ONLY encased murrini beads), for the past 2-3 years. And while I still love making them, it is nice to allow my creativity to flow in other directions once in a while. 😀

I also have been thinking it would be nice to offer simpler, less intricate (and less expensive), beads that can compliment my encased murrini charm beads. While I love wearing an entire charm bracelet full of my Reef series beads – I think most people like to use them as accent pieces on a bracelet of many different designs in coordinating colors.

Many of these new charm bracelet beads I’ll be introducing are actually glass designs I have been using for many years in other types of jewelry beads. It will be a fun challenge to re-interpret them on a much smaller scale in my European-style charm bracelet beads. 🙂

These beads are available now on Etsy!

Rainy Day Beads

We have rain! And I am most definitely not complaining… Not only are we are in a serious drought here in California, so the rain is very much needed, but I have been waiting sooo long for the weather to finally cool off. So while it’s dark, gloomy, and wet outside – it’s definitely a good thing!

Here’s some new beads to brighten up your week 🙂  Available now on Etsy.

Big Hole Encased Murrini Beads – European Charms

Someone once told me that trees give the best display of color during the Fall after a very cold winter. I’m not sure if that’s true or not here in SoCal, but I have noticed that we are not getting much color from our trees this Fall, and we had a very mild winter last year. So maybe there is something to it…

Because I’m in Los Angeles I don’t really expect a gloriously colored Fall show – but there have been years when it has been so beautiful! The trees around here don’t really start changing much until November anyway, and it only lasts a couple weeks when it does occur.

Sadly, this year, it seems as though most trees are going directly from green to brown leaves 😦  I have heard rumors that this winter is supposed to be particularly cold – so while it may not be that much fun living through it, (although I do prefer cold weather to hot), at least I know it will be worth it next Fall 😀

Hard to think that far ahead when it’s still 88 degrees outside today :-\

In the meantime, here are some new encased murrini beads to brighten your day (which may not be all that sunny and warm in your neck of the woods). All beads are available now on Etsy! 🙂

Encased Murrini Beads for Fall

It’s hard to describe, but there is a distinct change in the air when Fall arrives here in SoCal.

Don’t get me wrong, we’re still having some way-too-hot-for-this-time-of-year days. But the change is happening. Those hot days are becoming less frequent and we are even having chilly mornings and evenings. I almost (not yet, but almost!) put my Uggs on when my feet were cold one morning this week. 😀

Did everyone catch the photo I posted on Facebook of my cute pup Yogi after he came back from the groomer yesterday? They always put him in a cute little bandana. Just thought I’d mention that…  🙂

Since it was still so hot last week I was not able to get too many beads made. :-\

At last…NEW Lampwork Big Hole Beads!

The past couple months has been brutal, weather-wise. We’ve had one of the hottest summers I can remember. And, sadly, we’re not done yet! We will enjoy a little relief at the end of this week, where the temps will only be in the high 80’s, then it’s back up to almost 100+ again for another undetermined period of time.  😦

Thankfully we had a short break in the heat last week which allowed me a chance to hop on the torch for a while. It had been so long since I had last made beads that I really enjoyed myself. Can’t wait to get back beading more regularly! Hopefully by November the last of the heat waves will have passed…

Available now on Etsy – Enjoy! 😀
