Mixing Glass & Metal

Something new for me lately is the combination of metal components with my lampwork beads.

I have been exploring making my own bead caps, experimenting with different metals and different techniques, and finally developed a way to stamp and finish them that works well with my bead designs.

So far I’ve been working mainly in brass and copper as I love the rich coloring of these metals, and the way they look when antiqued.

NEW – Gazing Ball Lampwork Bead Pendants

I am very excited to announce my latest bead design – gazing ball pendants!

Modeled after the beautiful Italian glass garden decorations by the same name, each ready-to-wear pendant in the series includes a round, handmade lampwork glass art bead with no visible hole! The spherical bead is smooth all the way around. 😀

I am having a blast making these pendants and have many more designs in mind. I hope you enjoy them!
